Fishes, Fishes Everywhere!

My hubby loves fishes (or any type of animals) so last weekend we went to visit this warehouse factory that sell all types of fishes at an affordable price. There sell both fresh water and saltwater fish. Currently my husband is rearing saltwater fishes.

The size of the warehouse is huge. Rows and rows of fishes

Emperor fish where each cost around Rm120.
Alex of course did not get this type of fish.
Fresh water fish

Saltwater fishes.

The puffer fish (i call it the blubber fish) reminds me of Nemo's friend when he was trapped in the dentist's aquarium. This fish keep spitting water at me whenever I passed by...I have a feeling it don't like me.

Elijah is enjoying himself ( I think). He keep trying to put his hand in the fish tank.

One of these babies cost a whopping RM1,600

Parrot Fish
I found it amazing that each of them has the word 'I Love you' on its body. Did they stamp the words on them? (if its true...I think that is a bit cruel)
Shark in the Tank!

This is the address of the place.
Warning: the roads are bumpy and lots of holes

Reviews of Acadmey Award 2009

Usually I only do reviews on movies or korean dramas but I would like to make an exception where instead I talk about the 2009 oscars. Well... it is a special tv show where it is only done once a year.

I really like how they revamp the show where instead of having a comedian as the host, they have choosen Hugh Jackman. So no more wisecrack, political or racist jokes instead we have a decent musical opening. Okay, I am a big fan of Hugh Jackman since he played that australian move "Paperpack Romance" and then he played as Wolverine and several romance movies with stars such as Ashley Judd and Meg Ryan. He is a hottie and so charming and he can actually sing...oh well lets no forget he does broadway shows and did host the opening for the Tony Award. The opening by Hugh Jackman was great, and the icing of the cake was the duo with Anna Hathaway. Those who miss the opening, here is a youtube video clip of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9Vhx0UEtW8

Below are special moments of the oscars:
  • Tina Fey and Steve Martin really rock together when they presented the award for the scripwriting. They were both so funny especially when Steve Martin say to her "Do not fall in love with me"
  • Robert Pattinson presented the romance montage for 2008. So cute!!..and he grew back his hair
  • I thought the best acceptance speech was from A.R. Rahman who won the best muscial score and song for Slumdog Millionaire..."I choose love instead of hate"
  • Danial Craig look so dashing in his tux.
  • The muscial performance by A.R. Rahman and John Legend was good and different. Its looks like an explosion of Indian culture performance on the stage
  • Slumdog Millionaire won for best picture! Does who have not seen the show...watch it!

Awkward moments of the oscar

  • Yes..everyone is talking about it. The Jennifer Anniston and Brangelina showdown. Jennifer and Jack Black presented for best animation and the camera keep flicking to the Brangelina couple. The past is the past...both of them are happy with their own partners. However, I do notice that Jennifer was a bit awkward on the stage
  • Zac Efron and Vannessa Hudgens looks a bit out of place during the musical stint with Beyonce and Hugh Jackman. I do love them...but it just seems awkward and I really do not like Zac Effron slick hairstyle
  • I thought 5 previous winners to present an award was tad bit too much and time consuming
  • Ben Stiller trying to impersonate Joaquin Pheonix. Well, it was funny but I thought it was a bit insensitve and it kind of pull the attention away from the award that they are presenting.

Furthermore, I would also like to mention about the fashion (girls love to talk about this..hehe)I thought the best dress should go to Anna Hathaway and the worst dress goes to Jessica Biel (so disappointed coz she has such a nice body but opt to wear a towel bow type dress)

So overall I thought the oscar was so much better than last year but still has it flaws. Thank goodness Hugh Jackman is there to save the show!

Stair Climber!

Elijah loves climbing up the stairs! Good exercise for him and the parents too.. :p

Can I have a cookie??

When I was back in my hometown Kota Kinabalu for christmas, I took a video of my sis's dog Charlie. He would suddenly just roll around and do the begging trick....haha...I guess just to amuse us.

The Laughing Destroyer!

Elijah loves toppling things down as shown in the video. You need to bring up the volume to hear him laughing away, one big amusement for him.

Pan Pacific Hotel, Sutera Habour Resort
We stayed a night at pan pac and I was surprised that it is actually a beautiful resort and I would recommond everyone to come and stay here. We were upgraded to a suite room and had a beautiful view of the sea.

Pool Party!

Me and hubby decided to do a mini pool party for the kids and we even bought a inflatable pool (thank goodness it can fit all of them). However, my mum complained that we have made mud pool in her garden instead...hehe

Nieces and nephew having fun. Elijah was too sleepy to join in. Instead he slept throughout the whole afternoon. Oh well, at least his older cousins had fun. I was actually spraying water at them from the side.

I volunteered to do the cooking that night. Phew will think twice now before volunteering coz I was dead tired with all the food preparation (of course the kids help out...bless them!)
Ta-dah...my pasta salad and healthy salad...hehe
1 Borneo Shopping Mall

We visited 1 Borneo which is the biggest and newest shopping mall in Sabah. Pretty impressive.

Christmas decoration at the ground floor. I feel like I was back in KL

Brought the kids and Elijah to 'Bu Bu Land' which is an indoor entertaiment for kids and young adult..hehe. I let Elijah experience the Ultraman ride...he is like an expert with steering wheels.

My sister is doing the fish spa which is a popular thing now in Malaysia. I notice every shopping mall has a fish spa. My sis told me that it felt like pins pricking your skin. Hmmm...I'll think about it
